A very well presented Series 1 Morris 8 Tourer.
This excellent example was restored some twenty years ago and has remained in family ownership since, being kept in first class order.
We have had quite a few of these cars over the years and this is a nice, taught example with good steering and finished in the most popular colour combination of red over black with red interior and black hood.
The car was extensively restored with new ash in the body frame, new floor and rewiring among the many tasks carried out.
The engine starts readily and runs very sweetly with oil pressure at 60psi. All the instruments are correct and in working order.
The Morris drives well and the brakes pull the car up square.
The double duck hood, sidescreens and hood bag are all in excellent order. The interior was retrimmed and new carpets fitted.
Dunlop tyres are fitted all round.
A large history file comes with the car which includes some photographs of the restoration, receipts, old MoT’s and a buff log book dating from 1962. There is also a spare gearbox with the car.
Morris 8 Tourers are deservedly popular being simple to maintain with excellent spares back and a very active owners club, the Morris Register.
